Pre Wedding Shoot at Box Hill - Surrey
Posted on: 07 July 2011 in categories Pre Wedding, Adults
We spent a fantastic morning at Box Hill with Gargi & Toby at Box Hill - managed to dodge the rain ... kind of. With Toby being a professional athlete and both of them being sports mad it only seemed right to get some of them in their running kit!

The Tempest - Theatre Workshop Coulsdon Production
Posted on: 24 March 2011 in categories Events, Misc
It's that time again - time for Theatre Workshop Coulsdon's Spring Production. This year they have decided to go for Shakespears last play, "The Tempest".
For those you who are unfamiliar with the play, a brief outline is probably helpful. Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan and his daughter Miranda are marooned on an island having been expelled from their home by Prospero’s usurping brother Antonio. Antonio and Alonso, the King of Naples, and various of their family and court members are travelling back from a family wedding when a tempest, brought about by the magic of Prospero and Ariel, a sprite in Prospero’s service, runs their vessel aground on the same island. The family party are scattered when the vessel runs aground and Alonso, fears his son Ferdinand to be dead. Ferdinand, of course, is alive and well and in turn, in searching for his father and the others, meets Miranda, with whom he falls in love. Along the way, Trinculo and Stephano, a jester and a drunk respectively, fall into company with Caliban, the son of sorceress and slave to Prospero. The drunken scenes amongst the three of them are the light hearted mirror image to the plots and treachery that run concurrently with the family group. At the end, there is a reconciliation between Prospero and his brother and the families of Naples and Milan, united by the love Ferdinand bears Miranda.
A word should also be said about the setting which will not be standard Theatre Workshop Coulsdon Elizabethan, but ... Steampunk. Now, for those of you now staring blankly at the computer screen, this amounts to (in broad terms) Victorian style with a bit more leather and a plethora of Biggles goggles. The dress rehearsal photos below will give you an idea of the styling but do go and see it - it's a brilliant production! It is being performed at the Coulsdon Community Centre, Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon, Surrey CR5 3BE. To book tickets to the show, contact the box office on 07709 266 728. Production dates: 2nd & 3rd April and from 6th-9th April 2011.

Well believe it or not, our little star is 1! Sophia was the first entry we ever made on the blog and now we can share her 1 year old photos with you - how time flys! We spent some time in the park on the swings and playing peek-a-boo with Mum and Dad until we all got too cold. Then back home where we discovered the bubble machine - what a fantastic morning!

Pre Wedding Shoot in Canterbury
Posted on: 02 March 2011 in categories Pre Wedding, Adults
We are very excited to be photographing Matt & Vikki's wedding at the end of May and can't wait for their special day. We did their pre wedding shoot a few weeks ago on a grey Canterbury day but it was a good excuse for a cream tea in the middle of the shoot! We found some great spots around the town and took a trip down to the beach at the end of the shoot too.

I had a lovely morning with Sophie and her parents recently. Sophie's a very lucky little girl as her Aunt & Uncle bought the session as a gift for her. She's at such an adorable age and was a real treasure to photograph!

Maternity Photography in Gravesend

I've held off on blogging these photos as some of them were part of a special Valentines present for Steve. Laura's due date is just a few weeks before mine so needless to say we spent most of the morning discussing bumps and babies!!! We had a great morning with lots of laughs as poor Steve didn't know which pregnant lady to help up first!!!

Coffee Table Books

Just realised today that we don't have any of our Coffee Table Books on the website ... time to rectify that! Coffee Table Books are a great way to capture an entire portrait shoot or engagment shoot. Less formal than a traditional album they give a very contemporary feel to the shoot. Here are a few images of some of our clients books.

Christening Photography in Surrey
Posted on: 12 January 2011 in categories Christenings, Babies
More Christening photography this week. Sophia's christening took place during one of the snowy weekends in December and even though a few guests had to turn back the majority made it. Have to say though it's the first time I've arrived to a church to see the vicar shovelling the pathway to the carpark. And also the first time I've seen wellies at a christening!

Christening Photography in Ladbroke Grove - London

I had the pleasure of photographing Sidney's Christening recently. We started the morning at home to catch a few shots of Sidney with her family, then off to the church where I'm glad to say the Priest allowed photographs throughout the service so we were able to get shots of the baptism. And then off for the party afterwards with all of Sidney's adoring friends and family!

Today's blog brings you the last of the family shoots we did in Folkestone. These photos were part of an extended family shoot and then we had a chance to get some special shots of James and his Mum and Dad. James is a super little man and we had great fun capturing him.
